News from IARU

The months of September and October will be filled with activities from various IARU initiatives. On 13 and 14 September, summer program coordinators will gather in Cambridge for the fourth meeting of the IARU Global Summer Program Working Committee. They will discuss the Global Summer Program as well as Global Internships that have just concluded on August 20.

There is also an IARU Congress, on Ageing, Longevity and Health at the University of Copenhagen on 5 – 7 October which features 40 speakers in the field of ageing. University of Copenhagen's President Rector Ralf Hemmingsen will host this event. Another initiative meeting in October is a network of Alumni directors and leaders from IARU institutions. Organized by The University of Cambridge and Yale University, alumni representatives will spend 12 – 16 October in Cambridge discussing best practices in alumni engagement.

The IARU Senior Officers will be having their annual meeting in Zurich this year on 18 & 19 October to discuss updates on all IARU initiatives and explore new ones. ETH Zurich will host the meeting as well as the Workshop on "Value of Research Intensive Universities" from 19 – 20 October.
